HELLO! Happy Wednesday, friends. Today, I would like to introduce you to my family. Mostly my nieces and nephew. A good majority of my pictures are of them (I am working on changing that, I promise you). My family is pretty awesome. There is always a party at my house and at times the kids are the center of attention. They are always the center of my attention. Their lives are so much better than mine and they're a lot more entertaining to watch. This one on the right is Gabby; below is Gabby and her big sister Sabrina. Kaylie is Sabrina's & Gabby's oldest sister; Gabby looks up to both of them a whole lot and both of them are always mimicking Kaylie. It's nice to see that I (and other family members) have such an effect on Kaylie, and then a domino effect of Kaylie having such an effect on them.

Everyone in my family enjoys a party. Here is Kaylie dancing with her dad, Mike, followed and surrounded by pictures of Kaylie and Sabrina spending a day at the park. Being a kid is cool.

Short and sweet, I know. I have lots of pictures of the kids and my family. I have yet to sort through them all and make them blog-presentable. Next week I will have some pictures I took of Staten Island's own Brownwater at Martini Red. Those are fun. I hope your week is just fantastic, friends.

ps. Seriously. Trying to post pictures and words in a cohesive manner is just fucking impossible on this stupid thing. My apologies.

POSTAL NUMBER THREE

So, I would like to make it a point to post pictures here on a schedule, so that I make sure that I am updating because maybe (crossing fingers) at some point, people may look forward to seeing my pictures, kind of in the same way I look forward to PostSecret's Sunday Secrets. So, today, right here, right now, I am declaring WEDNESDAY to be my official day of updating. Look forward to some new ones this Wednesday coming. ;)

PS- an easier way to view my pictures might be here:
i took pictures.

The tables in the template are very small and not really conducive to picture-posting, so whenever I update the blog with pictures, they will be in this little web album I got goin' on, too.

rock the harbor.

I cannot fucking figure out how to get pictures on here the way I want them set up.

Rock the Harbor was really cool. The weather started out beautiful, it rained eventually, but it cleared up and the fest was again blessed with the sun. Friends, music, sun, big open field; it was a good time. Click on the pictures to see 'em a bit bigger.

Good morning!

This is going to be fun. :)

Hi. I'm Jen, Jen Miller, Jen Love, Jenny.
Once upon a time, I took a bunch of pictures of a bunch of awesome bands. My time spent involved in the coolest community of people I'd ever met was amazing and it is still a huge part of who I am. I'm not the greatest of musicians but I was able to contribute in the best way I could. I'm proud of the photos I took many moons ago. I used to have a website called itakepictures.org. I miss that little home of mine. Sadly, there are no remnants of it left on the internet or my computer. There is a secret hidden version 3.0 of itakepictures.org that I was working on with some old timey pictures still up. Go ahead and enjoy them, if you wish.

It's been a while since I've taken pictures of bands. I don't do portraits; I don't do scenery and landscape and sunsets; I don't do weddings (though I'd LOVE to). I do people. People talking, laughing, acting and reacting, acting and reacting. I'm slowly getting myself back into the grooooove of unaba
shedly shoving my camera in people's faces in order to get something aesthetically pleasing on paper (or on screen). I'll be using this as my new home for my photos; a place to feel like I'm actually doing something. Do you love it? Please say you love it.

Bye! :)
